Pearl Harbor: Friday May 16,  0800-1200…group tour of the USS Arizona Memorial visitor’s center at Pearl Harbor.  The newly-renovated visitor’s center is now part of the WWII Valor in the Pacific National Monument, which preserves and interprets the stories of the Pacific War, including the events at Pearl Harbor, internment of Japanese Americans, battles in the Aleutians, and the occupation of Japan.   The tour includes a visit to the memorial above the USS Arizona itself and discussion of the archaeological status of the site.  Max participants = 50.  $5  http://www.nps.gov/valr/index.htm

 He`eia fishpond: Friday May 16, 0800-1200…group tour of He`eia fishpond with Paepae O He`eia (Friends of He`eia Fishpond).  He`eia is a walled coastal marine fishpond on Kane`ohe Bay built 600-800 years ago.  Tour may be muddy or wet, so be sure to bring: Covered shoes or tabis; Sunscreen; Hat; Water bottle and bag lunch (optional); Change of clothes, towel (optional).  Max participants = 25.  $5  http://paepaeoheeia.org/

Bishop Museum: Friday May 16, 1300-1700…self-guided tour of the Bernice P. Bishop Museum.  The Museum was established to house the extensive collection of Hawaiian artifacts and royal family heirlooms of the Princess, and has expanded to include millions of artifacts, documents and photographs about Hawai‘i and other Pacific island cultures.  Max participants = 25.  $5 http://www.bishopmuseum.org/
